Colon Cancer is the 2nd cause of death of all cancers in the United States. According to the ACS, 90% of all cases could be avoided by changing lifestyle and diet. (7 years ago, Colon Cancer was 4th on the ACS list) Over 55 billion pounds of toxins are dumped into our water and food supply yearly. Over 100,000 colostomy surgeries are performed each year in the United Stated. AMA technically has no opinion regarding colon irrigation due to the money and education. Aside from pain relievers, more money is spent on laxatives than any other over the counter medication. When John Wayne died, his colon weighed 96 pounds. When Elvis died, his colon weighed 74 pounds. A healthy, normal colon should weigh approximately 3-5 pounds at full capacity. The colon's capacity is 64 oz. on average. A normal colon is 2 1/2 inches diameter and 5-6 feet long. The average American is over fed and under nourished, "Dead Food Dients." The colon cleansing process can cause a "healing crisis" - sometimes we get worse before we get better. Digestion should be ruled by the Para - Sympathetic System. Our degenerative on the go, stressful lifestyle, has made our systems Sympathetic Dominant. Nearly every disease can be traced back to a toxic colon. "All health and disease starts in the colon." Ideal transmits time should be anywhere from 17- 24 hours from the time a substance is ingested to the time it is eliminated. The greatest, and most abused and neglected organ is the large intestine. The colon has no pain-receptor nerves. Once pain or discomfort has become apparent, the condition has become very serious and in need of immediate attention.
